new logo and website

i am very excited as within a few days i will have a new fancy website to share my work. i will let you know when its live....i am very excited. I will have more control ovver it and it is fresh and funky (well i think so!LOL!)  To go along with that i have new branding and very shortly it will replace my original logo, be my new colour scheme etc.what do you think?? i just love it!
it reminds me of a balloon..fun, light, relaxed, a sprinkle of emotion..all the things i consider to be the signature of my images. Cannot wait to see where my path leads. I am having the best time and i have finally found my joy. i love what i do.

sarah and craig, part 2 (or 1 actually)

the morning was beautiful and crisp, sunshine sparkled throught the leaves and the white flags fluttered in the cool breeze as sarah and craig were married. As i watched craig and sarah take each others hands so tenderly and say their vows i couldn't help but get a little choked up from the total adoration for each other that you can feel by looking at them. I loved all the details of this wedding, from the hearts on the flags, the clappers for each guest (an american tradition apparently), the beautiful vibrant flowers and stunning rings. hope you like sneak peek No. 2 guys...

sarah and craig

..these two lovely people were married yesterday and i had the absolute pleasure of being asked to photograph their special day. not only are they are they kind and generous people, but they are also very lucky. Lucky because it has rained here in wollongong all week but the day of their wedding was fine and sunny, with just the right amount of cloud cover to make for some cool sky backdrops. They are also lucky because they are blessed with a beautiful little baby girl who had a big day but still looked like an angel! They have a love that is palpable..they light each other up and you can feel the immense bond between them. Now their little family is "official" and this marks the beginning of some big new adventures for this little trio. thank you guys for being yourselves and letting me be a witness to your love.

oh, and I will have to break the sneak peek up into part 1 and 2..because I had too many favourites. Technically this is part 2 because it is the portraits as the end of the day but when i started downloading my files I couldn't wait to show these ones..so part 1 (wedding and breakfast reception) will be tomorrow! Enjoy!!

and this last one i wanted to share because it was a moment i will treasure forever. craig and sarah's close friends all chipped in for their wedding gift, and got me to organise 3 canvases using some of their images from their engagement/family session a few weeks back. The both were so thrilled and emotional, which of course made me cry (hence a couple of these a blurry)..i love that my images can have such an impact on people..and i love that i got to witness it.

we have been trying to have this session for a few trips to newcastle now..first it was rain and then bad timing..but yesterday we manged to beat the impending down pour and capture this gorgeous family against the backdrop of a treasure trove of textures and colours in the lambton area. tracey had a little mishap with her keys but aside from that it was great fun! the hall family

jthis lovely lady asked me to photograph her beautiful family on the weekend and i jumped at the chance.

Jen has the most beautiful and generous soul and together with her supportive and very funny husband, they are raising 4 vibrant and beautiful young ladies. thanks for sharing your time with me jen..and will, i couldn't not post the last one ..you kill me...LOL!!

babies got blue eyes

this is my gorgeous little niece. her mummy and daddy drove down this morning so i could do some portraits of miss kate. we had lots of fun outfit and backdrop changes and she tolerated it all very well. i then dragged the family into the backyard for some family shots and even got a few of big brother, who has the funniest full face fake smile you'll ever see! thanks for making the trek Aunty N and Uncle P. hope you like your sneak peek!!

newborn session...sort of (i know- 2 post in one day!!)

this little man is a few weeks old now..and he has a big family!! his mum is a beautiful superhero (5 kids..4 under 5!!!) ..and they are all superstars..check them out!!

engagement session..sort of..

this lovely couple are getting married in 2 weeks and i am lucky enough to have the honour of capturing the memories of their special day. we met up for an engagement session which was really a family session because they have a beautiful little girl with big blue eyes that i could not resist...

i am still here.

i have 3 sessions this weekend so i will have heaps to share soon. life is crazy busy as i am redesigning a new website, which will go live soon with some new pricing packages and options to make your session more individual to your needs. i have a new logo which i will share soon too, plus all sorts of stuff to share about albums, expos and the continuing journey of my little business. I am so excited about my little business and its growth so far. The time has come to take the next step..a leap of faith in myself..which is daunting and exciting all at once. Time to grow up a bit and look the part.
Even with any changes, my passion remains constant and my goal will always continue to be the same: to offer people fun relaxed natural photos at a reasonable price. i look forward to showing you whats happening next for janine kaye photography soon. In the meantime..heres an image i captured at a newborn session recently. i love that mum will always remember how tiny that foot was just by looking at her own finger.

happy mothers day!

i love photographing kids, capturing their innocence, their personalites, their cute hands and toes, and their sparkly eyes..it makes me happy! the hard part for me is the limited success i have capturing the same things when my own kids are involved. they are great at running away from the camera or avoiding eye contact..and although it drives me nuts sometimes, it also makes me laugh.
today is mothers day..and my best gift..both my children looked right at my camera for a few shots!!!woohoooo!!!happy day! (click on them to see them clearer..for some reason typepad makes them blurry within the post!?!)
