BIG family

this extended family were in town to celebrate Yvonne 70th birthday...and man, she is an amazing looking 70 year old!! joined by her 4 kids and their kids and even the great grandkids..this family were a force to be reckoned with. Even with such a large group, they were so much fun and so obviously connected to each other beyond blood. check out this spunky couple and their gorgeous family! (click on them to see them bigger)

i am still here

i have my family visiting me from melbourne this week and have been busy with family stuff and other life stuff. jack has had a sleep study, we have been to 2 play centres, watched a couple of movies, endured a few tummy upsets and flu symptoms and generally hung out together. I also managed to do a corporate session during the week for an international consulting company while they presented at a local business networking breakfast. I actually had lots of fun and learnt a bit too. so if you are on the hunt for a business consulting firm, check out connect2 .. heres the gang.. and the man who organised it and had me laughing and thinking all morning!

snow much fun

hehee..i love a bad pun! I had the best time at perisher this past weekend capturing the wedding of Nic and Bart. They have always dreamed of a wedding in the snow and thanks to Nic's parents and the efforts of many of their family and friends, they got their wish. They also took the opportunity to include a naming day ceremony for their little girl, who looked so cute in her little fur sleeping bag! The weather was just glorious and even though it didn't snow, there was enough man made snow to create a beautiful backdrop for their ceremony and photos. I just loved the contrast of her amazing red dress against the snow. It was lots of fun using the natural surrounds as the backgrounds, and they all managed to smile easily even though they were probably freezing! we then headed back down the mountain to the ski rider for a change of shoes and hair, then onto the reception where the highlight of the night for the kids was the chocolate fountains, but the highlight for me was watching a little girl mimic me and line up the other kids for their group portraits..loved it!

new beginnings

my new website went live today and i am very excited about my new look. I spent quite a bit of time setting the site up and although it is still a work in progress i am happy how it is all coming together. you can check it out here. feel free to leave me feedback! if it doesn't come up for you, try again later..apparently it takes a few days to settle in..??!!

i was invited to photograph a christening last weekend of my workmates children. Her kids are SO gorgeous and have the most beautiful eyes. C has the best eyelashes too but she is hard to catch holding still. Thankyou Suz for inviting me to witness such a special occasion and for introducing me to your lovely extended family. I'll drop the images off tomorrow but heres a sneak peek for your family!

i am heading to perisher on friday to photograph a wedding in the snow..very excited , although i am not overly fond of the cold..LOL! i bought mysef a new cute beanie today (although brad told me i looked like a hot pink mushroom in it!hehe!)..gears packed, extra batteries packed and all thats left to do is sort out some warm clothing and find out exactly how to get there..LOL! Navigation is definately not my strong point. sense of direction fine but i can get lost in thought easily and that tends to lead to lost in traffic! i need a GPS..instead i just call brad and plead for help.. eventually he will get sick of me and get me one (well thats my plan anyway!)

bridal expo

I have decided to get a booth at the wollongong bridal expo on the 20th July. I wanted to get my name out there and make myself available to more opportunities, meet lots of  people and show off my stuff! i am nervous and very excited..love that feeling..keeps me on my toes..LOL! So if you are heading to the expo or know someone who is, tell them to come and say hello. I will have a special offer for bridal expo bookings too!

waiting, waiting...

i am in limbo waiting for my new site to go live. it will probably be on tuesday at the earliest and there is a very good chance my email will be down then too as i change hosting services. so if you get an "unable to send" error..please try me again later! or call me!
I am feeling a little overwhelmed with technology this week. i currently have 3 computers on my desk and a total of 4 monitors as i am making the switch from PC to mac. i got a fancy new macbook and iMac on the weekend and as i struggle to get used to them i have the failsafe PC next to me. I keep getting confused and try to type with the wrong keyboard or use the wrong mouse so i will soon have to brave it and get the PC off this desk (plus its rather squishy with all these computers and my vast collection of scraps of paper that i write notes on and never look at again..LOL!)..i am so excited about the graphics on the mac and the colours are amazing...i am happy even if i have very little idea what i am doing! LOL! i am taking Lucy and Grandma to Disney on Ice tomorrow and then i have a quick christening to photograph and a family session tomorrow afternoon, followed by some preparations for jacks birthday party @ mothers group on monday morning..so i best get some sleep! hope you are having a fab weekend. see you soon!
