through my eyes

for as long as i have been scrapbooking

i have created a reasonable volume of pages about me. I am an emotional and open person  who often shares more of myself than most people would, but i also have a really really bad memory. I started creating pages about me just so i could get my story down..so my kids know the real me. But along the way i found it very good therapy of sorts, a way to clarify my thought and feelings, document my journey and growth and celebrate things in my life i am proud of or need to work on. To me they will be the pages my children cherish the most because they give an insight into my mind and my heart. when i am long gone they will know i loved them when they look at all their pages, but when they look at mine,they will know me. and thats really important to me. so when sasha and i came up with a book of me monthly kit idea for shop and crop i got excited. I love to share my passion for telling "your story"..the big stuff, the little stuff, your quirkiness, your strength and your journey along the way...
so starting this month there is a new kit with a corresponding challenge so you get product and inspiration each month..and a layout will be selected each month based on design, creativity and challenge theme content, and that person will receive the next month's BOM challenge kit free in the mail. how cool is that!! so head on over to s&c, grab the kit and get started! heres challenge one..

i am teaching an online class tonight for s&c, and i might even scrap along and create something while i type! although i am very tired so maybe not..LOL! jack had a sleep study last night and it was a LONG night and i only got 2 hours of sleep. i will be ready for bed tonight! hopefully it was worth it and we get a good result! seeya!

i have had a busy day with the kids. swimming lessons first thing, then mothers group, cleaning up around the house mixed with phonecalls to adobe and apple to work out what i did to my lightroom to cause it to not work (all my fault. i had no idea i had to download all the upgrades in order..i just figured i needed the latest one..trap for young players! LOL!)

then Lucy had soccer this afternoon and this evening my mum, sister and her kids arrived. Lucy is in heaven..she loves her cousins and Jack is getting old enough and more interested in playing along with them too. i plan to get some scrapping done this week with my mum here to keep me company!

Lleyton lost (not surprisingly) but thats my cue to go to bed. seeya!

back from the snow!

i had a brilliant time, the weather was outstanding and the bride was beautiful. i am loving my images so far as i sneak at them while downloading and will share a sneak peek on my photography blog really soon. i am mildly worn out from the drive and concentrating all day yesterday but otherwise i am doing pretty good. my mum and sis and her boys are coming to visit tomorrow for a week which i am really looking forward to, and the kids are very excited ..they love hanging out with their cousins. i plan to take lots of photos! i forgot to share some cosmo layouts i did for shop and crop last week..love the fun colours of these papers and the cool diecut pad of papers was so much fun to use..

i am looking forward to a bit of me time this week although i do have several things on my to-do list to keep me occupied. looking forward to playing with my wedding images, hanging out with my family and some scrapbooking with my mum! i am off to play with some photos...seeya!

upload time

at s&c. this week it was using patterned paper as your background, which was easy for me as thats what i do 99% of the time..which explains why my cardstock stash doesn't appear to be diminishing! LOL! i got to play with the lovely ki memories bloom papers..love the colours and designs in this range..and the felt flowers and sparkly rub-ons are divine!
love the hot pink paper!!! and the one of lucy eating a slice of plain bread..she is so like me in so many ways it sometimes scares me! LOL!

you saw these photos last week ..and of course they  were begging to be scrapped!

today my new website went live..check it out here. Hopefully it will work for you..apparently it takes a few days to settle in..

for keeps

the latest for keeps is out (68)..and i am still going to call it that cause creative paper doesn't roll off my tongue as easily! LOL! i have 2 layouts in there, which have both been photographed a bit dark..but thats ok.

my et one was a family tree theme so i created a tree and made us the leaves..lol. it was really fun to do and i think i might frame it and hang it on the wall..then i can always add leaves if the family grows any bigger (hint hint ness!LOL!)

the other one i had in there is a K & co product showcase for printblocks. these papers are so yummy..gorgeous colours and textures, lots of glitter..hard to see in the pictures, much better IRL!

i have had a fairly crappy day as my email was down and i was loosing my mind not being able to contact some of my suppliers or receive receipts. i am back up now so if you tried and failed, please try again. my site isn't live yet but it hopefully won't be long.

The kids had a makeup day at childcare which was great for them becaue dorothy the dinosaur came to visit and the local new station filmed it. so they were so excited to be there to see her, plus their faces when they saw themselves on the news was pricless. Jack thought she came just for his birthday ..who am i to ruin that illusion for him..LOL!

i more day til i head to perisher to photograph a wedding in the snow. very excited and a tad nervous about all the glare! LOL! anyway..i have some tennis to watch.C'MOn! seeya.

as I change web hosts for my new website. i am hoping it is back up soon. i am feeling disconnected and i realise how much i rely on it. so please keep trying or leave a comment here. i can access those! see you soon with some shares.

my baby boy

turns 3 today. i am a little overwhelmed by how quickly time has passed..i cannot believe he is so big already..
we had a birthday party as part of mothers group on monday morning and uit was a dress up party. Of course Jack wanted everything "toot toot" (i.e. wiggles) and chose Sam to dress up as and every wiggle party themed thing you could find was dragged into my house. He had a great morning and loved having everyone sing happy birthday to him.

i had best get to bed so i can actually greet him with a smile when he wakes up later this morning! LOL!.

i worked today and i am rather tired. ..and to top off my day brad discovered our upstairs shower is leaking into our downstairs bathroom ceiling...FABULOUS...NOT! so the builder is coming over tomorrow to check it out and i suppose from there we will be ripping up tiles to check the waterproofing...can you hear the dollar signs chinging..i can! arrrggghhh!!

i am just about to go live with my new photography website..i am very excited. new flash site and my new logo. Thanks to sasha for putting me onto her amazing graphic designer, this is now my new branding...what do you think?? it makes me happy!!
tomorrow i have to work for a bit then i intend to scrap..and i will share.

bad blogger

i have been a very bad blogger but i have excuses. Lets see:
sunday i held my basic photography and photoshop class here ..2 sessions, i talked all day! LOL! I had a blast. thank you to all the ladies who came and played and learnt and hurt their brains with me. i hope you enjoyed it and got something out of it.  and Brad thanks you for all the emails about his coffee making ability..he is rather chuffed!  So sunday night i had a blazing headache and fell asleep at 8.30..which is unheard of from me..i am a night owl..usually past 1am these days!
monday morning jack broke my nose. accidentally. but it still hurt. he was jumoing around on the couch being silly and i lent over at the wrong time and crack, literally. i heard the cartilage crackle and burning pain in my nose and under my eyes. Tears and stiffled swearing followed..then i had to suck it up and drive them to swimming lessons where jack had his first lesson solo (without parent)..he was so proud of himself!! monday was a long day with a sore head and a throbbing nose. Jack had a haircut which was amusing..but man he is so cutewith a spike!
we had a birthday party in the afternoon which lucy got dressed into her trendiest clothes for (i am envious of the fact she can a. wear skinny jeans , and b. tuck them into her boots..i can barely tuck my calves into my boots..LOL!..)...thanks sarah for the boots..i would never buy them but she loves them!!!
and then i came home and got to play with my new Macs that brad picked up for me. I got one of these and one of these with a 24' monitor...woohooo. i spent the night resting my face and playing with my new toys. i have no idea what i am doing but i am having fun trying (plus it helps that they are so pretty!!LOL!).
tuesday the gastro bug hit our house and it was fun fun here.
today we had gymnastics, i spent a long time on the phone and tonight i had icecream with cass and sarah...COLD ROCK...yummmoooooo!!!
Lucy has  been sick again tonight so i best go check on her before i hit the sack..but before i do , heres 2 shares form my dt upload at S&C today. we had to do poppets. i must say i kinda suck at poppets. it was fun but i don't think i'll do it again in a hurry! ready for a laugh...

i am still here

oops..i have forgotten to post and got a few gentle reminders..so here i am! LOL! i have had a busy week proofing the wedding photos and organising things for my basic photography and photoshop class on here tomorrow. well..maybe i should record my week just for my own sake:
sunday: I had a great time sunday night going out with the girls to dinner and a movie. we saw sex and the city and it was ok..a fashion parade with some occasional funny bits.
Monday: public holiday!! woohooo!! I convinced (read as nagged) my husband to go have a look at a Mac with me and we bought one (actually 2..LOL!)..interest free is a fabulous thing. I am now awaiting the arrival of my new mac desktop and laptop. I am rather nervous about switching teams but i believe it is a good move to make for my business..and my sanity! LOL!now i want an iphone...LOL!
monday afternoon  brig , mick and izzy come over to help me out with some business ideas and they ended up staying for dinner, which included some "research" on the internet and a whole lot of laughter. I love hanging out with them and the kids adore Izzy! i have good friends!
Tuesday the kids went to grandmas and i spent the day proofing, having my shoulder looked at (it is still hurting..think i complained about that a while ago..if its not one thing its another with me..LOL!)..i have no memory of tuesday night so obviously it was exciting..hehee!
wednesday was gymnastics and hanging out with my kiddos. wed night i had my best buddies come over for thai takeaway and scrapping. i love hanging out with the girls, eating and chatting. i even managed to finish some things i had to get done (which of course i cannot share yet!)
thursday i worked and then proofed and proofed some more..
friday i did errands and finished off the wedding proofing. and last night i worked on my new website (comin soon)
today i finished off a few more things on the wedding and delivered them to my clients. I also did some setting up for tomorrows workshop here, watched the wallabies beat the irish in a scrappy display of rugby and ate too many chocolate biscuits.
there you go..that was my week...in a nutshell. i have spent a great deal of time at this bright box and eaten way too much! I also  have amazing friends that i am so grateful for..they support me, laugh with me and at me and make me feel like i belong. they give me faith in myself.
and just because i cannot have a post without a picture..heres 2 more favs from the wedding  with a new action on them that i am rather liking  ..all warm and soft!
